Règlement des prix

1.Scope

These Prize Rules apply to every prize offered on MetaDuels, including tournament prize pools, sponsor prizes, arcade leaderboard prizes and Showdown prizes. They form part of the Terms of Service. An event page may add specific details, such as the prize split or a sponsor's conditions.

2.Who can win

• You must hold a single account in good standing, with a true date of birth and country.
• Players under 18 must have approved guardian consent before entering a prize event.
• Prize events are void where prohibited. You must not enter if prizes are unlawful where you live or play.
• Employees of MetaDuels and their immediate families may not win prizes in events they help run.

3.Prizes by age tier

For Junior winners, we notify the parent or guardian by email and arrange delivery of the items with them. We use the delivery details only for that purpose.

4.Prize value and currency

Prize values are set in US dollars. Local-currency figures are estimates based on reference exchange rates. Where a prize is given as airtime, vouchers or school items, its value matches the stated prize value as closely as available denominations allow.

Cash prize pools from entry fees are calculated from the actual number of entrants, minus the platform fee shown on the event page, and split according to the prize plan shown before the bracket starts. Ties are split equally unless the event rules use a tie-breaker.

5.When prizes are awarded

• Prizes are awarded after the final result is confirmed and any fair-play review is complete.
• We may hold a prize while we investigate a suspected breach of the Fair Play Policy. Prizes won in breach of it are forfeited.
• Adult cash prizes are credited to your MetaDuels wallet; you can then withdraw them. Withdrawals require your password and may require identity verification (KYC). Payouts go only to a payout method in your own name.

6.Claiming prizes

We notify winners by email and on their prizes page, which shows the claim deadline. Choose how to receive your prize (cash to wallet, airtime, a voucher or school items, depending on your age tier) within 90 days of the prize being awarded. We send reminder emails 60 and 83 days after the award if you haven't chosen yet.

A prize that is not claimed within 90 days expires, to the extent the law allows. Its value is released from the prize reserve to MetaDuels and is recorded in our ledger; it is not paid out later. Once you have made your choice, the deadline no longer applies and we deliver the prize as described below. Airtime is sent to the phone number you enter; make sure it's correct before claiming.

7.Substitution and transfer

Prizes are personal and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, except where an Adult chooses the cash option. If a stated prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sponsor prizes are provided by the sponsor, and the sponsor's conditions may also apply.

8.Taxes

Winners are responsible for any taxes on prizes. Where the law requires us to withhold tax, such as withholding tax on winnings in some countries, we deduct it before paying the prize, pay it to the authority, and show the deduction to you. We may ask for tax information needed to comply with the law.

9.Cancelled events and refunds

If an event is cancelled before it is completed, every entry fee is refunded in full to the entrant's wallet, and sponsor pools are returned to the sponsor. Leaving a paid event before the bracket starts gives you a full refund. Entry fees are not refunded after the bracket starts, or for forfeits or disqualifications.

10.Publicity

We may publish winners' gamer tags, results and countries (not for Juniors) on the Platform and in announcements. We never publish a minor's real name or photo. We will ask your permission before using your real name or image in marketing.
