1.Our principles

Every result on MetaDuels should reflect real skill. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every arcade run, tournament match and Showdown game, whether or not a prize is involved.

2.How results are verified

Arcade: server-verified replays

Each ranked run is started by our server with a unique seed. Your device records every input with its timing, and when the run ends our server replays the game from those inputs. The score on the leaderboard is the score the server computes, not the one your device reports. Runs are also checked for input patterns that humans can't produce, and high-scoring runs may be held for a staff review before they rank.

API-verified matches

For Chess on Lichess, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars, you link your game account, and we read the result of your match directly from the publisher's official API. Accounts can only be linked by their owner, and you can report an account someone else linked.

Reported matches

For other titles, both players report the score and upload a screenshot of the final screen. If the reports agree, the result is confirmed. If they disagree, a referee or moderator decides using the evidence. Disputes without evidence are generally decided against the player who failed to provide it.

Showdown

Trivia answers and timing are scored on our server; your device never decides whether an answer is correct.

3.Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Cheat: use hacks, modified clients, aimbots, macros, scripts, emulators where prohibited, or any software or hardware that gives an unfair advantage;
  • Use bots or automation: let any program play, input, or submit results for you;
  • Exploit bugs: deliberately use a glitch or flaw in a game or in MetaDuels instead of reporting it;
  • Collude or fix matches: agree results in advance, deliberately lose, soft-play, share prize money by arrangement, or coordinate with other entrants against fair outcomes;
  • Multi-account: hold or use more than one MetaDuels account, or enter the same event more than once;
  • Smurf: use a new or secondary account, or misstate your age or location, to play against weaker opponents or in a tier you don't belong in;
  • Share or boost accounts: let someone else play on your account, play on someone else's, or link a game account you don't own;
  • Report falsely: submit wrong scores, edited screenshots or misleading evidence;
  • Interfere with others: attack, overload or disconnect opponents, or harass, threaten or abuse players, referees or staff.

4.Detection and investigation

We combine automated checks (replay verification, input-timing analysis, superhuman-skill detection, device and network signals, payment and account linkage) with review by trained staff. We may ask you for information or to play a supervised verification match.

While we investigate, we may hold scores, results, prizes and withdrawals connected with the suspected breach. We aim to complete investigations within 14 days, and we tell you the outcome.

5.Penalties

Depending on how serious the breach is, and whether it is repeated, we may:

  • issue a warning or a fair-play strike on your account;
  • reject a score, reverse a result, or award the match to your opponent;
  • disqualify you from the event or the season;
  • forfeit prizes and winnings connected with the breach, including entry fees paid into affected events, to the extent the law allows;
  • suspend or permanently ban your account and any linked accounts;
  • report fraud or other unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities.

Forfeited prizes are reallocated to the next eligible players where practical. Strikes accumulate, and repeated strikes lead to a ban.

6.Disconnections and no-shows

You are responsible for your device and connection. Event rules set how long a player has to show up and whether a disconnected game is replayed. Unless the rules say otherwise, a player who does not join their match within 10 minutes of the lobby opening forfeits that match.

7.Appeals

You can appeal a penalty within 14 days by writing to support@metaduels.com with your gamer tag, the event or run, and why you believe the decision was wrong. A staff member who was not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal. The appeal decision is final, subject to any rights you have under mandatory law.

8.Reporting a cheater

If you suspect cheating or collusion, report it from the match page or email support@metaduels.com with as much detail as you can. Reports are confidential, and knowingly false reports are themselves a breach of this policy.
