# MetaDuels

> MetaDuels (https://metaduels.com) is a global competitive gaming platform for skill-based competition: esports tournaments with escrowed entry fees and verified results, a free 36-game browser skill arcade with weekly leaderboards and server-verified replays, and Showdown, a live trivia party game. It is age-tiered (Junior under 13, Youth 13-17, Adult 18+) and safe for players from age 6, with guardian consent required for minors to compete.

Key facts:
- Competitions are decided by skill, never chance. No betting, no wagering on other players' matches.
- Arcade scores are recomputed on the server by replaying the player's recorded inputs.
- Chess (Lichess), Clash Royale and Brawl Stars match results are verified directly through the publishers' official APIs.
- Paid entry fees and sponsor prize pools are held in per-event escrow and refunded in full if an event is cancelled.
- Prizes by tier: Juniors receive school items of equal value (school supplies, calculators, books); Youth choose airtime, gift vouchers or school items; Adults choose airtime, gift vouchers or a cash withdrawal.
- Payments by card and mobile money are processed by Paystack. MetaDuels does not store card numbers.
- Free to join. Runs in any modern browser and can be installed as an app (PWA) with offline arcade practice.
- Operated from Kenya; governed by Kenyan law with consumer-law protections preserved for other countries. Complies with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and GDPR.
